The Program Manager for BS and MS in Public Health Dr. Nida Shoaib along with her BSPH students, actively participated in a workshop titled “Data Producers and Data Users’ Dialogues.” This event was organized collaboratively by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) at Avari Towers in Karachi on 27th November, 2023. The primary objective of the workshop was to contribute to the development of a crucial National Data Dissemination Policy by the PBS. This policy aims to ensure widespread access to and optimal utilization of the statistical information generated by the bureau. The workshop played a vital role in engaging various stakeholders, including data users, academia, researchers, and demographers. It facilitated the gathering of diverse perspectives, addressed existing gaps, and identified specific needs within the data dissemination process.
