On 7th November, the Sindh Abhyas Academy at SZABIST University, in partnership with the Women Action Forum, organized an enlightening seminar on the ‘Impact of Canals on the Indus Delta.’
The session was presided over by renowned hydrologist Dr. Hassan Abbas, with insightful contributions from Dr. Riaz Sheikh, Mr. Naseer Memon, and Ms. Afia Salam. The speakers highlighted the pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges that canal systems pose to the Indus Delta, emphasizing the need for sustainable solutions to safeguard this precious ecosystem.
