Brief Bio and Research Interest / Area of Research:

Dr. Farhana is a public health professional with more than 20 years’ working experience in both public and private health sectors in Pakistan.  She is a Medical Doctor from Dow Medical College, Karachi; Masters’ in Public Health from Health Services Academy, Islamabad and completed doctorate (PhD) degree from University of New South Wales, Australia.

Her areas of interests are nutrition, maternal and adolescent health, non-communicable diseases and family planning.  She has conducted researches as primary and co-investigator and published in peer-reviewed journals. She has presented her work in many national and international forums. She has associated with Aga Khan University, Karachi, HANDS, Greenstar and National Lady Health Workers’ Program and Jhpiego.
