The MPhil in Education program, with a specialization in Educational Leadership and Management offered by the Department of Education, aims to meet national and international standards in educational study and research. It is aligned with HEC guidelines and is designed to address the needs of a diverse group of learners who have chosen education as their field of study. The program prepares graduates for practical leadership roles, grounded in strong theoretical foundations, enabling them to make informed and effective decisions.
Program Structure The MPhil in Education is a two-year program comprising 32 credit hours. It includes four compulsory courses (3 credit hours each), four specialization courses (3 credit hours each), two mandatory general courses, and a thesis (6 credit hours). Students have the opportunity to specialize in Educational Leadership and Management.
Admission Requirements
For admission to the MPhil in Education program, candidates must have completed 16 years of education in the discipline of Education with at least a second division or a minimum CGPA of 2.0 from an HEC recognized institution. Candidates with 16 years of education in other disciplines may also apply; however, they will be required to complete six deficiency courses. GRE with 300 score/ GAT (General)/ HAT relevant is mandatory for MS students with minimum 50% score. Verification of the last degree from HEC is mandatory.
