Job description:

Maintaining external relations of SZABIST;

  • Making all types of arrangements for organizing events for signing of
    MoU/MoA/membership.
  • Disseminating signed MoU’s/MoA’s to all the SZABIST campuses and Karachi campus
    Head of Departments/Deans/VP’s and President
  • Participating in meetings organized by External Stake Holders
  • Acting as Liaison between SZABIST and External Stakeholders
  • Maintaining cordial relations with external stakeholders.
  • Preparing and maintain all the files pertaining to ERFA Department
  • Assisting the in arranging events, seminars for external stakeholders or any appropriate
    activity that are for the interests of the institute.
  • Collects marketing intelligence through competitive analysis of the competitors.
  • Assists in long- and short-term planning such as Annual Budget, Admission Campaign, Event Plan, Media Plan, Progress Report, Giveaways Distribution Record etc.

Provisioning of Government Funded Scholarships:

  • Facilitating selection of students by soliciting, processing and short listing of application
    forms, preparing pre-interview and evaluation sheets.
  • Coordinating and conducting interview sessions for selection of the students for awarding
    scholarships.
  • Preparing control documents for release of scholarship installments for the external stake
    holder. Control documents include academic performance report, tuition fee invoices, fund
    utilization reports and any other required documents.,
  • Undertaking physical verification exercises for assessing the authenticity of the information
    provided by the students in the application forms.
  • Assist in preparing other information required by external stake holders.
  • Coordinating with SZABIST campuses for control documents and disbursement of scholarship
    funds.
  • As and when required, update ERFA Dept, Karachi Campus about the progress on
    scholarships.

Designation: Manager
Department: ER&FA
Qualification: Master’s degree
Experience: 9 to 10 years of relevant experience

  1. Provision of SZABIST Need-Based Scholarships to students;
    a. Processing and short listing of application forms, and preparing pre-interview evaluation sheets.
    b. Coordinating and conducting interview sessions for selection of the students for awarding scholarships.
  2. Facilitate provision of External-Donor Funded Scholarships;
    a. Facilitating selection of students by processing the application forms, preparing data sheets and conducting interviews.
    b. Follow-up reporting of the academic progress of scholars, invoices for tuition fees, and fund utilization reports, and provision of pertinent information.
    c. Undertaking physical verification exercises for assessing the authenticity of the information provided by the students in the application forms.
    d. Participating in meetings organized by External-donor agencies.
  3. Facilitate monitoring and evaluation visits of the external-donor agencies.
  4. Responsible for reporting of SZABIST university advancement related activities to HEC.
    a. Facilitate collecting, organizing, and timely disseminating of information and quarterly progress reports to HEC.
    b. Participate in meetings/workshops organized by HEC.
    c. Facilitate monitoring visits of HEC.
  5. Maintain external relations of SZABIST;
    a. Keeping the memberships of SZABIST with the national and international associations’ current and valid.
    b. Facilitate participation of faculty/staff members in seminars/conferences conducted by the above mentioned associations.
    c. Facilitate collaborations and signing of MoUs, by conducting in-depth analysis of the prospective collaborations and academic initiatives to facilitate decisionmaking.
    d. Liaise with national and international academic institutions, NGOs, and associations interested in collaborating with SZABIST.
    e. Facilitate requests of having presentations/seminars of external stakeholders in SZABIST.
  6. Participating in university advancement activities i.e. orientation, convocation, conferences etc.

Designation: Web Engineer
Department: ZAB Solutions
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or related field
Experience: 2 years to 3 years’ relevant experience

Job description:

i. Development – implements approved designs in WordPress or other technologies, including coordinating with application developers.
ii. Multi-media – develops logos, creates and edit flash animations and other multimedia contents
iii. Determines technical requirements – interface with clients/managers to gather specifications on the desired task
iv. Provides design direction – present initial wireframes/mock-ups to clients, incorporates design principles (color theory, shapes, space, alignment), gathers feedback, and presents final designs for approval.
v. Content management – ensures that all code is in version control, backed-up, properly documented and has been properly QA’d.

  • Process all incoming emails, letters, and other correspondence.
  • Records all correspondence in relevant files.
  • Prepares responses for correspondence and routine inquiries.
  • Reads and analysis incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their
  • significance and plan their distribution.
  • Plans, coordinates, and schedules executive and other meetings and functions.
  • Takes and transcribes minutes and distributes them to meeting attendees.

Designation: Program Support Officer in the Management Sciences department

Job description:
Program Managers:
1. Fills Visiting Faculty hiring forms, submits it to HR Dept., photocopies the
documents and maintains record.
2. Collects CVs and educational documents of Visiting Faculty and maintains
contact list.
3. Prints recommendation letters and maintains record of various letters.
4. Communicates through phone calls and emails with visiting faculty for
schedules, announcements, collection of course files, and other requirements.
5. Compiles Theses and arranges Research Symposia twice a year.


Research Projects/IS/Thesis Data Compilation:
1. Checks Registration at ZABDESK attendance sheet and makes advisors list along
with their groups.
2. Collects proposal forms from Thesis Groups, maintains record and allot numbers
to each Group.
3. Collects progress and meeting records forms, from advisors.
4. Sends invitation letters to well-known educational institutes for Research
Symposium.
5. Makes arrangement for Final Presentation.
6. Assists in uploading the thesis results; after marked by advisor, external examiner,
and Program Manager.


HEC and Other Agencies:
1. Collects and provides pertinent data required by HEC and others
agencies; from relevant departments at SZABIST.

Job description:

  • Accepts responsibility for the lab equipment and ensures that all the computers (with up-to-date software and antivirus), printers, scanners are running properly and are in working order.
  • Ensures the cleanliness of computer Labs.
  • Performs maintenance and troubleshooting for the Lab hardware and software malfunctioning, and when not sure how to fix a problem, properly documents the problem and makes it known to the Lab administrator or Lab supervisor.
  • Provide technical support to the students and teachers in the use of computers during lab sessions. To conduct online admissions test, seminars, workshops and installs the required software and troubleshoots the related problems.
  • Monitors activities and behavior of students in the lab and enforces all rules concerning the use of labs to ensure the physical and environmental safety of students.
  • Provides solution for the hardware, software, LAN, user account, Zabdesk password and virus security related problems to the faculty.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoots permanent faculty, adjunct faculty, staff,and students in resetting their passwords for user accounts whenever required.
