Program Description

The Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) is designed to prepare professionally competent educators who can effectively engage with young learners aged 0 to 8 years across diverse educational settings. The program provides a strong foundation in child development, teaching strategies, and assessment practices, while fostering meaningful interactions with children and their families. It integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills to support future-ready licensed educators aligned with the evolving demands of early childhood education.

Program Mission

The mission of the ECED Diploma program is to prepare aspiring educators  to provide quality care and education to young children in a variety of settings. The program aims to equip students with a deep understanding of child development, effective teaching strategies, and essential skills for working with children and families. It seeks to cultivate passion, ethical professionalism, and competence among graduates to positively impact early childhood education.

Program Structure

The ECED Diploma is a one-year program comprising 30 credit hours. It includes 10 compulsory courses, each carrying 3 credit hours. The program blends coursework with practical teaching experience.  The maximum time limit to complete the diploma program is 2 years.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have completed O-Levels (minimum 8 subjects including English, Urdu, Mathematics, Islamiat, and Pakistan Studies) and A-Levels (minimum 3 subjects), or equivalent qualifications such as Intermediate, 12th Grade, or 14 years of education with at least 50% marks. IBCC equivalency is required for international qualifications. 

Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) equivalency/attestation is required for O & A Levels/IB Diploma/High School Diploma/SSC & HSC or equivalent.
