We are delighted to share that our BS Biotechnology students, Muhammad Shaheer Dar and Maliha Fareed, presented their FYP research project entitled ‘Development and Evaluation of Arginine-capped Silver Nanoparticles Loaded with Ciprofloxacin as a Potent Antibacterial Formulation’ as poster presentation at the National Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Summit. The scientific event was hosted by Getz Pharma in collaboration with HSA, MoNHSR&C, and NIH and took place at Getz Pharma’s Astola Manufacturing Facility on Sunday, 19th May 2024. Out of 216 abstracts, the FYP project was selected in Top 40 and was highly appreciated by the peers. The event provided a platform for robust discussions on tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR). These students conducted the research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kashif Ali (Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences) and Miss Neha Farid (Lecturer, Department of Biosciences, Faculty of Life Sciences).
