We are pleased to announce the participation of our BS Biosciences students, Izn-e-Zainab, Rida Ahmed, Syeda Anum Urooj, Eeshah Saleem, Shiza Qazi, and Aliza Hashmi, who presented their Final Year Project (FYP) research posters at BIOCON 2.0, held on 6th and 7th March, 2024. The scientific program was hosted by the Department of Biotechnology, University of Karachi. Their projects focused on the green synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles for food preservation and the assessment of antibiogram profiling of bacterial cultures isolated from shower heads. These students conducted their research under the guidance of Miss Neha Farid, Lecturer at the Department of Biosciences.
